Thirty Advisory exists because risk management works better when it is built around real processes, delivered alongside your people, and grounded in genuine operational experience.
Founder & Principal Consultant, GAICD
I have spent nearly 30 years working in operational risk and regulatory compliance across Australia's major financial institutions – including executive positions at Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, and NAB.
That experience taught me two things. Risk management works when it is embedded in the processes people actually run. And good consultants build their client's capability – they leave the organisation stronger, not more dependent.
I founded Thirty Advisory to do risk management differently. We start with how your organisation actually works. We deliver in agile sprints so you see progress every two weeks. And we build your team's skills alongside the deliverables, so the work continues after we leave.
My particular areas of depth include operational resilience frameworks, APRA CPS 230 implementation, and the practical application of AI in risk management.
These are the things you will see in how we work.
We work with people. Clients are involved in the work from the start. The coaching instinct runs through everything we do.
Difficult subjects are addressed directly. We name the elephant in the room and expect the same honesty from ourselves that we ask of clients when assessing their risks.
If it cannot be explained simply, the thinking is not clear enough. We simplify so the audience does not have to.
The name reflects nearly thirty years of practical experience across Australian financial services – real understanding of how large, regulated organisations operate.
Thirty years is long enough to have seen cycles repeat and to know which approaches last. That perspective shapes how we advise.
The best way to understand whether there is a fit is a straightforward conversation. No pitch decks. No obligations.
